10.5″ x 5.5″, 40 pages Rives BFK and mylar Acrylic paste paint and collograph printed images on Rives BFK paper with collaged elements. Simplified stiched binding with burgandy silk spine and acrylic painted covers. The circle, square and cross are recurring images in my work. They are ancient symbols which have occured in most cultures with varying meanings. The circle is simple, whole, unbroken and all encompassing. The square is an expression of the two dimensions that constitute a surface. And the equal arm cross may represent the four cardinal points and the points of the solar calendar. In combination they become more complex visually and in potential interpretation. This piece began in a PBI workshop taught by Laura Wait.
