Landsquares
3” x 3.25” The same image, made of quilt-like squares, was printed on both sides of a 13” x 16.25” sheet, full bleed. It was folded and cut into a twelve page ox plow book.
Will
12.5” x 7.75” Seven hole side-sewn book with scored handmade paper cover incorporating an antique will and images inkjet printed on parchment like paper. “Will” combines a last will and testament with photographs taken by Viola Kaumlen of the Capuchin Catacombs in Palermo, Sicily. The author of the will leaves to his wife a “right of dower” and “during her life” the use of a sum of money “held in trust”.
Long ago and far away
9.5” x 40” in wooden box 3.5” x 10.25” x 2.5” Scroll made from sized rusted cotton fabric housed in a wooden box.
Crossed
5.25” x 5.75” Thermal bound acrylic paste paintings and collograph prints in a cover of the same paper that wraps around the spine in a single sheet.
Holga
2.25” x 32” in tube 2.5” x 7.5” Scroll of developed film taken with a Holga camera housed in a clear plastic tube.
Mayflower
6” x 6” x 1.5” A longstitch book sewn through a leather spine with leather covered boards and a ceramic tile insert. Photographs of the ship and maps of the journey are printed on aged paper. The text, taken from Nathaniel Philbrick’s book, “Mayflower”, says: “One people’s quest for freedom resulted in the conquest and enslavement of another.”
Sol
6.25” x 5.5” From a metal representation of the sun god and a fragment of a woven pouch found in Peru, “Sol” was created. A board, covered with a scrap of dark burgundy suede pigskin, was glued into the center pocket of a slightly brighter leather bi-fold and the metal figure was glued against the two leathers. The front of the pouch was lined with the dark suede and a flap brought over the top. Cords were sewn across the top edges and the ends of the cords were bound together with sinew.

3.75” x 12.25” x 3.75” Scroll made of uv cured ink skins glued to non woven fabric and boxed.
Land of the Inca
8” x 5.25” Collaged longstitch book with full leather cover. Made from ephemera collected in Cuzco, Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley of Peru
